who i am

My name is Stan McCune, and I’m a sinful human who has been saved by grace and called to be a minister of that grace to others. I consider myself to be a free-thinking student of the Bible, and I believe that most of the problems in this world are theological. In other words, I believe that much of the pain, confusion, and sin in this world is the direct result of incorrect theological presuppositions. For this reason I feel burdened to share theological truth with others, and I believe that God has specifically called me to this end.

I was brought up in an extremely conservative sect within evangelical Christianity known as “fundamentalism.” I still hold to some of the key fundamentalist ideas, such as the inspiration and authority of Scripture, but I have found many of the fundamentalist interpretations of Scripture to be inaccurate. As such, I feel especially burdened to share what God is teaching me in the areas of theology most touched on by fundamentalists.

This is very well written/stated. Is it permissible to print several to give to friends who need to hear this message?

    • This comment appeared in the “who i am” section of my blog. Are you interested in printing that off or printing off a certain blog post?

Am interested in printing ‘have i left fundamentalism’. Sorry for the confusion.

  1. No problem, Marty. I figured that was the case, but wanted to make sure I understood your question before answering it. The answer is yes, you can feel free to print it and distribute it. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I found your blog because a nephew had linked this topic on facebook because of a family history in this area and PTL the younger generation ‘is seeing the light’.
